A course redesign project to assist an accounting professor transition a face-to-face course into online instruction. The course introduces junior and senior level accounting students to the impact of computer systems on the accounting profession.

Project Goals
Design and build a fully, asynchronous online course that is interactive, engaging and ensures mastery of course objectives
Build course on a responsive platform that allows users to complete the module on a desktop or notebook computer, tablet or smartphone
Include formative assessment activities throughout and a summative assessment at
the end of each module.

At the end of this course, learners will be able to:
Discuss with career opportunities that combine accounting and IT knowledge and skills
Explain how IT influences accounting systems
Analyze how accountants use business intelligence for decision making
Distinguish between terms such as “systems,” information systems,” and “information
technology,” and “accounting information systems.”
